The use of “I”, inside voice of an undefined character (I used it so in the feature Fatigue, 2000), allows to question the identification process, putting away the spectator, by its explicit expression.

This distancing, if one admits the principle as a viewer, allows, I hope to “connect”, perhaps deepest poetic feeling (mainly visually in this film). Reach the contemplation of an interiority that is mutual, the “true” very.

Of course, the “Brechtian distancing” is not far in the project of distancing to the catharsis, here in the film aesthetics.
